More about this service in Dubai
A custom planter earns its cost when a standard pot will not do the job: an awkward dimension, a continuous run along a terrace edge or boundary, a rooftop where weight is limited, or a finish that has to match the building rather than sit against it. For a single specimen plant, a pot from our planter range is usually better value and we will say so.
We build in rendered blockwork, natural stone, fibreglass and powder-coated metal. The choice is driven by weight and position more than looks: a roof terrace or balcony has a load limit that rules out masonry, while a ground-level run along a driveway can take anything. Render can be colour-matched and stone selected to match existing cladding or paving.
Drainage is the detail most often got wrong in built-in planters, and it is the one that ruins both the plant and the wall behind it. Without a drainage layer, an outlet and a waterproof lining, water sits against the structure and the roots rot while damp works into the masonry. Every planter we build is lined and drained as standard.
Planting, soil and irrigation can all be included, so the planter arrives finished rather than as an empty box. Custom planters are often specified as part of plantscaping for offices and lobbies, or alongside hardscape in a villa garden.
Pool and water feature questions
When the space has an awkward dimension, when you want a continuous run along a boundary or terrace edge, or when nothing off the shelf matches the finish of the building. For a single plant, a standard planter is usually the better value.
Rendered blockwork, natural stone, fibreglass and powder-coated metal. The choice is driven by weight, position and whether it sits on a slab or a roof terrace where load is limited.
Absolutely, and it is the thing most often got wrong. Without drainage and a waterproof lining, a built-in planter holds water against the structure and kills the plant while damaging the wall behind it.
Yes, that is usually the reason for going custom. Render can be colour-matched and stone selected to match existing cladding or paving.
Yes, including soil, drainage layer and planting suited to the position and the pot depth. Irrigation can be run into them at the same time.
