Multi Head Dracaena is a cane grown foliage plant carrying three or more leaf crowns at staggered heights on one set of woody stems, giving layered greenery from the floor upward.
It costs AED 200 in a nursery pot. You can add a decorative pot of your choice separately.
Dracaena is among the first plants to show salt damage from UAE tap water, and it shows it as dry brown tips on otherwise healthy leaves. Filtered or stored water reduces it, and so does flushing the pot thoroughly every couple of months to push salts out of the soil.
How to care for Multi Head Dracaena in the UAE
It tolerates modest light, so keep it clear of direct sun that bleaches the leaf, and let the top half of the pot dry before watering again. The frequent failure is kindness: watering weekly on principle keeps the thick canes wet, and soft collapsing stems at soil level follow.
Where Multi Head Dracaena works best
Interior corners away from windows, office breakout areas, hotel corridors and stairwell landings suit it, since the staggered heads fill vertical space without needing floor width. Compare it with other plants for shaded and low light spots.

Can I cut a cane down if it gets too tall?
Yes. Cut it cleanly and new shoots push out below the cut, though the plant looks uneven for a while.
Is it safe around cats?
Dracaena is toxic to cats if chewed, so place it out of reach where a cat grazes on plants.
Plants Care
Watering:
Water your plant once a week or when the soil starts to feel slightly dry on the surface. Keep the soil consistently moist, but be careful not to overwater, as this can cause brown spots and leaf drop. If the leaves become curly or dry, it's a sign that the plant needs water. It's best to water your plant in the early morning or late evening when the temperatures are cooler. Always check the soil before watering.
Light:
Provide bright indoor light or indirect sunlight for about 6 to 8 hours a day.
Temperature:
Maintain temperatures between 18°C and 24°C. Avoid exposing the plant to drafts, as these can cause undesirable temperature fluctuations. Mist the plant occasionally, about twice a week, to help maintain optimal humidity levels.
Fertilizer:
Apply liquid fertiliser every 15 days when the plant is actively growing. For best results, use Folikraft ready-to-use Indoor Plant Food.
