Spanish Lemon is a mature lemon tree supplied at 180cm, chosen where the point is a tree that already has form and crop capacity rather than a sapling to grow on.

Citrus is the most demanding fruit group stocked here in UAE conditions. It wants consistent moisture and sharp drainage at the same time, and it shows stress through leaf drop before anything else looks wrong. At this size the tree has more canopy to support, so an irregular schedule shows faster than it would on a young tree.

How to care for a lemon tree in the UAE

Full sun, with some protection from direct afternoon sun through July and August. Consistent watering, free draining soil, and feeding through the growing season.

Where it works best

A sheltered garden position or a large planter on a terrace where drainage is controlled. Other fruiting options are on fruit trees.

Size and maturity. At 180cm the tree already carries the framework a younger tree spends years building.

Does it need protection in summer?

Shelter from the hardest afternoon sun helps, along with consistent watering. Citrus struggles more with irregular water than with heat alone.

Watering:

Water your plant once a week or when the soil starts to feel slightly dry on the surface. Keep the soil consistently moist, but be careful not to overwater, as this can cause brown spots and leaf drop. If the leaves become curly or dry, it's a sign that the plant needs water. It's best to water your plant in the early morning or late evening when the temperatures are cooler. Always check the soil before watering.

Light:

Provide bright indoor light or indirect sunlight for about 6 to 8 hours a day.

Temperature:

Maintain temperatures between 18°C and 24°C. Avoid exposing the plant to drafts, as these can cause undesirable temperature fluctuations. Mist the plant occasionally, about twice a week, to help maintain optimal humidity levels.

Fertilizer:

Apply liquid fertiliser every 15 days when the plant is actively growing. For best results, use Folikraft ready-to-use Indoor Plant Food.

We carefully inspect each plant for signs of root rot, pests, disease, and unhealthy foliage or stems. If we find any issues, we don’t ship the plant. This meticulous care ensures that every plant is healthy and ready to thrive in its new home.
