Silver Damas Ball is a Conocarpus clipped into a dense sphere, sold as a finished topiary rather than as a young shrub to be trained. It is supplied at 110cm overall for AED 200.
Silver Damas is one of the few plants that holds a clipped edge through 45C without scorching, because the fine silvery leaf reflects rather than absorbs light. The trade off is growth speed: it pushes new shoots quickly, and the crisp outline blurs noticeably between trims.
How to care for Silver Damas Ball in the UAE
Full sun, deep watering at the root zone, regular shearing. This plant rarely dies here. It fails differently: owners stop trimming, the sphere turns shaggy, and cutting back hard to recover the shape exposes bare inner wood that takes a long season to green over.
Where Silver Damas Ball works best

How often should the shape be cut back?
Through the warm growing months it needs shaping regularly to stay round. Growth slows in cooler weather, so trims can be spaced further apart then.

Light:
Provide bright indoor light or indirect sunlight for about 6 to 8 hours a day.
Temperature:
Maintain temperatures between 18°C and 24°C. Avoid exposing the plant to drafts, as these can cause undesirable temperature fluctuations. Mist the plant occasionally, about twice a week, to help maintain optimal humidity levels.
Fertilizer:
