A clipped topiary with its foliage cut into a rising helix around a bare stem, Ehretia Spiral Shaped keeps a sculptural profile that reads from a distance.
One height is offered, 120cm, in a nursery pot or a ceramic pot, priced between AED 185 and AED 240 by pot choice.
The exposed stem between the coils takes direct Gulf sun with no leaf cover, and on a west facing terrace that bark can scorch and split in July and August. Siting it where the stem catches morning rather than late afternoon sun avoids that.
How to care for Ehretia Spiral Shaped in the UAE
Water into the pot until it runs from the base, roughly every second day in summer heat, and feed lightly in spring and autumn. The mistake owners make is trimming the coils flat on top; the spiral only stays legible if each band is cut rounded, so shadow separates one turn from the next.
