Description
Dracaena Yellow Coast is a broad leaved Dracaena carrying a wide yellow band along each leaf edge, heavier variegation than Golden Coast.
Available at 120cm, 150cm and 170cm, from AED 285 to AED 685 depending on height and pot, in a nursery pot or a ceramic pot.
Heavier variegation means less green tissue and slower repair, so a Yellow Coast that drops leaves while a household is away for the summer takes months to close the gap. Arrange for someone to water it if the flat is empty through July and August.
How to care for Dracaena Yellow Coast in the UAE
Bright indirect light holds the yellow band at full width. Water when the top five centimetres are dry, and less from November. The failure worth naming is drought during travel: leaves yellow from the bottom up, drop, and the cane stays bare.
Where Dracaena Yellow Coast works best
It carries a stairwell landing, a wide hallway, or the corner of a high ceilinged room where a shorter plant looks lost. Compare it with our forgiving plants for people who travel.

How does Yellow Coast differ from Golden Coast?
Width of the variegation. Golden Coast carries a thin gold edge on a green leaf, while Yellow Coast has a broad band across much of it.
Will it survive two weeks without water?
A 170cm plant in a full pot usually will, in winter. In summer, in a cooled room, that is close to the limit.
Plants Care
Watering:
Water your plant once a week or when the soil starts to feel slightly dry on the surface. Keep the soil consistently moist, but be careful not to overwater, as this can cause brown spots and leaf drop. If the leaves become curly or dry, it's a sign that the plant needs water. It's best to water your plant in the early morning or late evening when the temperatures are cooler. Always check the soil before watering.
Light:
Provide bright indoor light or indirect sunlight for about 6 to 8 hours a day.
Temperature:
Maintain temperatures between 18°C and 24°C. Avoid exposing the plant to drafts, as these can cause undesirable temperature fluctuations. Mist the plant occasionally, about twice a week, to help maintain optimal humidity levels.
Fertilizer:
Apply liquid fertiliser every 15 days when the plant is actively growing. For best results, use Folikraft ready-to-use Indoor Plant Food.
