Description
Dracaena Golden Coast is a broad leaved Dracaena whose glossy green foliage is edged with a fine gold margin, on thick canes that branch with age.
Heights are 100cm, 140cm and 170cm, between AED 270 and AED 800 according to size and pot, nursery or ceramic.
Wide leaves make this a plant that reacts to position more than to climate. Against west facing glass in Dubai the afternoon sun magnifies through the pane and bleaches the gold margins to straw within one summer, while the same plant two metres back keeps its colour.
How to care for Dracaena Golden Coast in the UAE
Bright indirect light, no direct afternoon sun. Water once the top five centimetres dry, less often in winter. The common failure is putting a large specimen in a dark corner because that is the only space it fits. New leaves then come narrow and lower canes shed.
Where Dracaena Golden Coast works best

How wide does Golden Coast get?
Leaf spread runs roughly 60 to 80 centimetres on a mature 170cm plant. Allow that clearance from walls so outer leaves are not creased.
Do the canes need staking?
No. The canes are woody and self supporting. A plant that leans is reaching for light, so turn the pot a quarter turn monthly.
Plants Care
Watering:
Water your plant once a week or when the soil starts to feel slightly dry on the surface. Keep the soil consistently moist, but be careful not to overwater, as this can cause brown spots and leaf drop. If the leaves become curly or dry, it's a sign that the plant needs water. It's best to water your plant in the early morning or late evening when the temperatures are cooler. Always check the soil before watering.
Light:
Provide bright indoor light or indirect sunlight for about 6 to 8 hours a day.
Temperature:
Maintain temperatures between 18°C and 24°C. Avoid exposing the plant to drafts, as these can cause undesirable temperature fluctuations. Mist the plant occasionally, about twice a week, to help maintain optimal humidity levels.
Fertilizer:
Apply liquid fertiliser every 15 days when the plant is actively growing. For best results, use Folikraft ready-to-use Indoor Plant Food.
