Bougainvillea White is a climbing shrub carrying cream white bracts, the palest colour form of the plant.
It is available at 70cm in a nursery pot for AED 40.
Pale bracts show dirt in a way the red and purple forms do not. Fine sand carried on the wind settles on the white surfaces and turns them beige within weeks, especially near a construction site or an unpaved plot. A rinse with a hose brings the colour back.
How to care for Bougainvillea White in the UAE
Full sun and a dry cycle between waterings, with sparing feed. The single most common failure here is deep shade, where the white form makes green leaves and almost no bracts, and it is slower to recover than the coloured forms once it is moved.
