Ficus Table Bonsai is a small trained ficus with a thickened, sculpted trunk and a clipped crown, sized to sit on a desk or shelf rather than on the floor.
One size is stocked at 50cm, offered in a nursery pot or a ceramic pot, between AED 90 and AED 140.
Small bonsai pots hold very little soil, and under UAE air conditioning that soil dries far quicker than the leaves suggest. A plant sitting near a vent can need water every second day in August while an identical one across the room goes four days. Check the soil, not the calendar.
How to care for Ficus Table Bonsai in the UAE
Place it within a metre or so of a bright window, water when the surface feels dry and mist the foliage occasionally to clear dust. The usual decline starts with a shallow top up that wets only the upper layer, leaving the lower rootball permanently dry until leaves shrink and drop from the inner crown outward.

How often should it be repotted?
Every two or three years, trimming a little root and replacing the soil to stop the pot becoming solid root.
Do the leaves stay small?
Regular tip pruning keeps them small. Left unpruned, new leaves come through noticeably larger.
Plants Care
Watering:
Water your plant once a week or when the soil starts to feel slightly dry on the surface. Keep the soil consistently moist, but be careful not to overwater, as this can cause brown spots and leaf drop. If the leaves become curly or dry, it's a sign that the plant needs water. It's best to water your plant in the early morning or late evening when the temperatures are cooler. Always check the soil before watering.
Light:
Provide bright indoor light or indirect sunlight for about 6 to 8 hours a day.
Temperature:
Maintain temperatures between 18°C and 24°C. Avoid exposing the plant to drafts, as these can cause undesirable temperature fluctuations. Mist the plant occasionally, about twice a week, to help maintain optimal humidity levels.
Fertilizer:
Apply liquid fertiliser every 15 days when the plant is actively growing. For best results, use Folikraft ready-to-use Indoor Plant Food.
