Office Plants
An office kills plants differently from a home. Lighting is even but weak and switched off at night, air conditioning runs constantly and dries the soil surface faster than the air suggests, and nobody owns the watering. That last one decides more than light does. The plants below are grouped by how much attention a space can realistically give them rather than by how they look in a catalogue.
Plants that survive being forgotten
Snake Plant from AED 40, ZZ Plant from AED 70 and Golden Pothos from AED 30 tolerate two to three weeks without water and keep their shape in low light. These are the three to choose when the space has no dedicated plant person, because they fail slowly and recover rather than dropping leaves the first time a long weekend runs over.
Snake Plant also releases oxygen at night rather than only during daylight, which is unusual among houseplants and often comes up in meeting room specification. Snake Plant Aqua at AED 50 and Snake Plant Colour Four at AED 149 are the same species in different forms.
Desk plants under AED 100
Golden Pothos from AED 30, Snake Plant from AED 40, Snake Plant Aqua at AED 50, Peace Lily from AED 60, Parlour Palm from AED 65, ZZ Plant from AED 70 and Monkey Monstera from AED 75. A desk plant has a specific constraint the rest of the office does not: it sits below eye level on a surface people work on, so width matters more than height and anything that drips is a problem.
Floor plants for open plan and meeting rooms
Areca Palm from AED 99, Fiddle Leaf Tree from AED 160, Ficus Bonsai S Shape from AED 180, Dracaena Lemon Lime from AED 185, Bird of Paradise from AED 230 and Traveler's Palm from AED 150 to AED 650. This tier does the work in open plan space, where a plant is dividing a sightline or softening a corner rather than decorating a desk. Rubber Plant runs from AED 60 up to AED 550 depending on size.
Lobby and reception specimens
Reception is the one place where a single large plant beats several medium ones. Bird of Paradise to AED 750 gives the largest leaf profile here. Tall Indoor Plant Bundle runs AED 330 to AED 1,050 and pairs Areca Palm, Bird of Paradise and Snake Plant at height. Olive Tree Pair at AED 299 to AED 450 works for a symmetrical entrance, and Artificial Ehretia Balls Trio at AED 1,000 does the same job in a space with no natural light at all.
Buying for a whole floor
Bundles are priced below the sum of their parts and suit a fit-out better than picking plants one at a time. Workdesk Plant Bundle at AED 149 covers Spider Plant, ZZ Plant and Snake Plant. Easy Care Plants Bundle at AED 149 covers Snake Plants, ZZ Plants and Pothos. Air Purifying Plant Bundle at AED 275 covers Areca Palm, ZZ Plant, Snake Plant and Peace Lily. Indoor Low Maintenance Plant Bundle runs AED 650 to AED 950 for a larger scope.
Light levels in an office are lower than they look
A desk three metres from a window is in low light even in a bright open plan floor, because glass and distance cut light far faster than human eyes register. Plants on an internal wall or in a meeting room with no window need species chosen for it rather than rotated in and hoped for. The low light plants range covers that case specifically.
Who waters them
This is the question that decides whether an office planting scheme survives its first year. Offices that assign it to one person do better than offices that assume everyone will help, and offices that outsource it do better still, because the failure mode is not underwatering, it is nobody noticing a problem for six weeks. Our indoor plant maintenance service covers scheduled visits including watering, leaf cleaning, pest monitoring and rotating any plant that is underperforming in its position.
If you came here looking to hire plants
Plant hire is the usual way offices in Dubai solve this, and what most people actually want from it is simple: greenery that appears, stays looking good, and never becomes somebody's job. You get a similar outcome here by buying the plants once and putting the space on a maintenance contract, so the watering and the monitoring stop being anyone's job internally. It also means the plants stay yours rather than going back at the end of a term. Send us the floor plan or a few photos through contact us and we will come back with a planting scheme and a maintenance quote for the same space.
When artificial makes more sense
Windowless corridors, server rooms, and spaces nobody visits between tenancies will not keep a live plant alive whatever you spend. Artificial Areca Palm Trio at AED 400, Artificial Palms Duo at AED 390 and Artificial Mediterranean Set at AED 1,050 are built for those positions. Everywhere with usable daylight, live plants cost less at the same visual size.
FAQ
What are the best office plants for Dubai?
Snake Plant, ZZ Plant and Golden Pothos for spaces with no dedicated plant care, and Areca Palm or Bird of Paradise where someone waters regularly. All four tolerate constant air conditioning, which rules out many popular houseplants.
How much do office plants cost?
From AED 30 for a desk Pothos to AED 1,050 for a tall lobby grouping. Most open plan floor plants sit between AED 99 and AED 250, and bundles work out cheaper than buying the same plants separately.
Which office plants survive with no natural light?
None survive zero daylight. ZZ Plant, Snake Plant and Peace Lily handle genuinely low light, but a windowless room needs either artificial plants or a rotation where plants spend time in a lit space.
What are the best desk plants?
Golden Pothos, Snake Plant, Parlour Palm and ZZ Plant. A desk plant needs to stay compact, sit below eye level without blocking a screen, and tolerate being watered irregularly.
Do office plants need special care in air conditioning?
They need watering more often than a humid climate guide suggests, and they should be kept out of the direct path of a vent, where cold dry air browns leaf edges within weeks.
Can you supply plants for an office fit-out?
Yes. Bundles cover a floor at a lower cost than individual plants, and larger multi-site or multi-floor orders are quoted directly rather than through the cart.
Who looks after office plants once they are installed?
Either a named person internally or a maintenance contract. The common failure is not bad watering, it is nobody noticing a plant is struggling until it is too far gone to recover.
Do you offer office plant hire in Dubai?
We supply and maintain rather than rent. The practical outcome is the same: we install the scheme and visit on schedule, so nobody in the office has to look after them. Send us your floor plan and we will quote the planting and the maintenance together.
What does office plant maintenance cost?
It depends on plant count, site size and visit frequency, so it is quoted per space rather than listed. Send a floor plan or photographs and we will come back with a figure covering both the plants and the ongoing visits.
Which office plants improve air quality?
Areca Palm, Snake Plant, Peace Lily and ZZ Plant are the four most commonly cited. The effect scales with the number of plants against room volume, so one plant in a large open plan floor makes no measurable difference.
