Description
Green Slate River Pebbles are flat, layered stones with a green grey cast, worn smooth by water rather than crushed into shape. One grade is stocked, around 5cm, supplied in 20 kg bags at AED 55.
Slate splits along its natural layers, so a bed of these lies flatter than rounded stone and the pieces lock against each other underfoot. Constant sun bleaches the exposed faces a little, while a rinse brings the green back, giving the same bed two distinct looks across a year.
How to use Green Slate River Pebbles
Spread them in an even layer over membrane, and edge the area properly, because flat stone slides more readily than round stone when walked on. They suit level ground far better than a slope. Sweep leaf litter off rather than raking, since raking flips pieces on edge and breaks up the flat surface.
Where Green Slate River Pebbles work best

Are these pebbles comfortable to walk on barefoot?
The flat faces make them easier underfoot than rounded gravel, though slate edges can still be sharp. For a path crossed barefoot, smoother rounded stone is kinder.
Can they be used inside a water feature?
Yes. Submerged slate keeps its darker green permanently and does not bleach, which is why it is a common choice for fountain bowls and pond margins.
Plants Care
Watering:
Water your plant once a week or when the soil starts to feel slightly dry on the surface. Keep the soil consistently moist, but be careful not to overwater, as this can cause brown spots and leaf drop. If the leaves become curly or dry, it's a sign that the plant needs water. It's best to water your plant in the early morning or late evening when the temperatures are cooler. Always check the soil before watering.
Light:
Provide bright indoor light or indirect sunlight for about 6 to 8 hours a day.
Temperature:
Maintain temperatures between 18°C and 24°C. Avoid exposing the plant to drafts, as these can cause undesirable temperature fluctuations. Mist the plant occasionally, about twice a week, to help maintain optimal humidity levels.
Fertilizer:
Apply liquid fertiliser every 15 days when the plant is actively growing. For best results, use Folikraft ready-to-use Indoor Plant Food.
