Description
Succulent Bundle is a four plant desert set of Barbary Fig Cactus, Pencil Cactus, Ball Cactus and Agave, assembled to give four separate silhouettes rather than four versions of one shape.
The set runs from AED 200 to AED 350, nursery pots at the lower price and ceramic at the higher. All four are potted separately.
Sandy, fast draining local soil is what these four evolved for, and the Agave pushes roots straight into a sandy bed and needs nothing afterwards. The risk is the opposite of drought: left out through a January rain shower in a pot without drainage, they rot at the base.
How to care for Succulent Bundle in the UAE
Give all four the brightest spot you have and water once every three weeks in summer, monthly in winter. Use gritty soil. The failure that repeats most often is a ceramic pot with no drainage hole, holding water under the roots where you cannot see it.
Where Succulent Bundle works best
Sunny ledges, gravel beds and shaded car ports where rain never reaches. Keep the Pencil Cactus out of reach of children. Comparable plants are grouped in our cactus and succulent range.
FAQ
Do the cacti in this bundle have spines?
The Barbary Fig and Ball Cactus do. The Pencil Cactus and Agave do not, though Agave tips are sharp enough to keep off walkways.
Can these stay outdoors all year in Dubai?
Yes, provided the pots drain freely. Summer heat is no issue. Winter rain sitting in a saucer is the thing to avoid.
Plants Care
Watering:
Water your plant once a week or when the soil starts to feel slightly dry on the surface. Keep the soil consistently moist, but be careful not to overwater, as this can cause brown spots and leaf drop. If the leaves become curly or dry, it's a sign that the plant needs water. It's best to water your plant in the early morning or late evening when the temperatures are cooler. Always check the soil before watering.
Light:
Provide bright indoor light or indirect sunlight for about 6 to 8 hours a day.
Temperature:
Maintain temperatures between 18°C and 24°C. Avoid exposing the plant to drafts, as these can cause undesirable temperature fluctuations. Mist the plant occasionally, about twice a week, to help maintain optimal humidity levels.
Fertilizer:
Apply liquid fertiliser every 15 days when the plant is actively growing. For best results, use Folikraft ready-to-use Indoor Plant Food.
